Motorola launches Moto G54 5G in India, price starts at Rs 15,999

 The Moto G54 5G comes in two variants (8 GB RAM plus 128GB storage and 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage. It has a starting price of Rs 15,999.

Motorola has added a new 5G smartphone to its budget-focused Moto G-series. And it is the Moto G54 5G. The phone has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 15,999 and, according to Motorola, it is designed for customers who are seeking a powerful budget smartphone with 5G connectivity, a smooth gaming experience, a big battery, fast charging, and a decent camera.

The Moto G54 is the first smartphone in the company's G-series lineup with a Mediatek Dimensity 7020 processor and certainly the first phone in the price segment with the chip. The phone is a rival to Redmi 12 5G and Realme 11X 5G. The key features of the Moto G54 include up to 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 50-megapixel OIS-enabled camera, a huge 6000mAh battery with 33W charging, and a 33W Tubi charger that comes included in the box.

Moto G54 5G price in India:

the Moto G54 5G comes in two storage options: 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage priced at Rs 15,999, and 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage priced at Rs 18,999. 

With bank or exchange offers, customers can buy the phone at a lower price. Effectively, when combined with bank offers, the base variant of the phone can be bought for an effective price of Rs 14,499. Similarly, customers will have to shell out Rs 17,499 for the 12GB RAM plus 256 GB storage when they avail launch offers.

Additionally, Motorola has partnered with Jio to offer benefits worth up to Rs 5,000 (Rs 2,000 cashback on the 399 pre-paid plans plus Rs 3,000 as partner coupons). The Moto G54 is available for purchase in Midnight Blue, Pearl Blue, and Mint Green color variants, and the sale is live on the e-commerce site Flipkart.

Moto G54 5G specifications

The Moto G54 features a 6.5-inch LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution. The display offers HDR10, producing 1000 nits of peak brightness, and has PANDA glass, which is aluminosilicate glass similar to Gorilla glass for display protection. The Moto G54 runs on MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor with peak 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. It uses a 6000 mAh battery with 33W charging support. The back includes two cameras -- a 50-megapixel OIS main camera and an 8-megapixel camera for auto focus. Motorola has not added an additional macro or depth camera. For selfies, there's a 16-megapixel camera. Relative to others in the market, the Moto phones use cleaner version of Android. The Moto G54 is no exception. It ships with software based on Android 13, although Motorola promises that Android 14 update would come later. Motorola also launched the new Moto G84 5G in India last week. The Moto G84 is the first smartphone in the company's G-series lineup to feature a Pantone color edition. The Moto G84 comes in a single storage variant (256GB storage plus 12GB RAM) and it is priced at Rs 19,999.
